Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using KoreanPOP ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

KoreanPOP is a Korean language learning application themed around K-pop culture. It provides:

• Korean vocabulary flashcards
• Hangul alphabet learning tools
• K-pop themed quiz challenges
• Common Korean phrases
• Fandom-based community features and leaderboards
• A virtual profile room (미니홈피)
• An AI language tutor (demo mode)

The App is provided free of charge. The virtual currency (Star Coins) within the App has no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or real goods.

You may use the App without an account, but registration is required to access community features, save progress, and participate in fandom rankings.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (16 in the EU)
• You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account

You agree NOT to:

• Post offensive, harmful, or illegal content in community chat or guestbooks
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Use the App to distribute spam or malware
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Use automated scripts or bots to manipulate quiz scores or rankings
• Impersonate K-pop artists, their management, or other users

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

All content within KoreanPOP — including the quiz questions, flashcard content, phrase examples, UI design, and educational materials — is original content created for educational purposes. We do not reproduce actual song lyrics, official merchandise designs, or proprietary content belonging to K-pop agencies.

K-pop artist names and group names are used for educational and fan-appreciation purposes only. KoreanPOP is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any K-pop entertainment company.

Star Coins (스타코인) are virtual tokens earned through in-app activities (quizzes, daily check-ins, etc.). They can be used to purchase virtual room decorations within the App.

• Star Coins have no real monetary value
• Star Coins cannot be transferred between accounts
• Star Coins and virtual items may be lost if you delete your account
• We reserve the right to adjust the economy balance at any time

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. Educational content is intended for learning purposes; we do not guarantee language proficiency outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KoreanPOP and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, virtual items, or account access.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the app's Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.
